Teaching Experience:
I enjoy teaching the skills of stone and bronze sculpture. I feel it is a way to keep the craft alive. In the summer of 2003, I taught a class in granite sculpture to nine girls and two boys, who had never touched heavy machine tools. I was amazed how well they were able to grasp the steps required to complete a serious public art piece. I realized that anyone can learn the craft as long as they have the tools, the interest and the patience. Several of those students went on to further their studies in the arts. I continue to teach privately between commission work.
